What is Active Listening?

Active Listening is a communication skill that goes far beyond simply hearing the words another person is saying; it is the foundation of a successful conversation in any setting — whether at work, at home, or in social situations.

Deceptively simple in its approach, Active Listening requires we become a positive and engaged participant in the communication process - to great effect.
